If your looking for help with your older vehicle Mike's can probably do the job. Almost all Classic work is done by Mike as he has the experience that most of the newer rebuilders do not have.
The first question to come up is price. This is a major consideration to anyone, whether they say so or not. Continually the statement of I can get it done cheaper elswhere is made, however this is made comparing apples to oranges. I will cover varieties of expenses and also do lower cost work. It is no problem. The actual difference is in the materials used, both in quality and quantity.The real trick is in the very missused word If you clicked on rebuilt you have read the absolute minumum that must go into a "Rebuilt" transmission in the state of California. 30 Years ago the term rebuilt meant that you opened up the transmission replaced one clutch, or in plain words repaired the immediate problem, and that was it. We can do it either way but we will not mislead you into thinking that we are going to put all of these parts in and not do it. We try to let you know exactly what you are getting for what. Most of the time if you have been sent to Mike's this is the reason why. We will be as honest and upfront as we know how.
